Privacy policy

Eigen (operated by Hojoon Yi, “Eigen”) collects only what an inquiry and visit statistics need. This page explains what we collect and how we handle it.

1. What we collect and why

  • Inquiries: name, email, company or team (optional), what you want to build, your current stage, budget and timing (optional), and your message. We use them to reply, and to send you a quote and a schedule. Legal basis (EU/UK): steps at your request before a contract.
  • Recorded with an inquiry: the page language, the page address, and campaign tags (utm).
  • Visit statistics: pages viewed, buttons pressed, device and browser type, language, and an anonymous device identifier created by your browser. We do not store IP addresses. We use them only to improve the site. Legal basis (EU/UK): your consent.

2. How long we keep it

  • Inquiries: one year after the conversation ends. If we sign a contract, for the contract term and the periods the law requires.
  • Visit statistics: one year after collection.
  • We delete data without delay when the period ends or when you ask. Electronic files are deleted so that they cannot be restored.

3. Sharing

  • We do not sell or share your information, except where the law requires it.

4. Service providers and transfers abroad

  • Google LLC (USA): stores inquiries in Google Sheets and sends replies with Gmail. Sent over an encrypted connection when you submit. Items and retention as in sections 1 and 2.
  • Amplitude, Inc. (USA): analyses visit statistics. Sent over an encrypted connection when you visit. Kept for one year.
  • Vercel Inc. (USA): hosts the site and forwards inquiries. Inquiry contents are only forwarded, not stored.
  • If you do not want these transfers, email us instead of using the form, and turn off visit statistics as in section 6.

5. Your rights

  • You can ask to see, correct, delete or stop the processing of your information at any time. Email hello@eigen.builders from the address you used.
  • We act within 10 days of your request and tell you the result. In the EU/UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.

6. Cookies and turning off statistics

  • Visit statistics keep an anonymous device identifier in your browser’s storage.
  • Press “Turn off analytics” at the bottom of any page to stop it at once. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we never collect.
  • In Europe we collect only after you agree.

7. Security

  • All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Only the person handling inquiries can see them, and access keys are stored apart from the code.

8. Children

  • We do not accept inquiries from children under 14.
