What we built
Cask Strength is a whisky subscription service.
Answer three questions and it recommends bottles that suit your taste, ranked with a taste match rate. The subscription is KRW 79,000 a month and you receive one bottle each month.
Bottles are not shipped. You pick them up yourself at a nearby partner store. The store uses a tablet to check the QR code and ID, and to see stock and settlements.

Choose how smoky, how sweet, and how strong you like it, and the bottles with the highest taste match come first.
Adults only
Mobile phone identity verification checks only that you are an adult. Your date of birth is not stored.
One bottle a month
KRW 79,000 a month, charged automatically on the 15th. A summary and consent items are shown before you pay.
Pick up at a nearby store
Choose a store with stock and a time, and a pickup QR code is created. The QR code changes every 4 minutes.
One tablet runs the store
The store scans the QR code, checks with an ID that the person is an adult, and completes the handover. ID details are neither entered nor stored.
Stock and settlements
Stores edit their own stock and see this month’s pickups and the settlement amount due.
